CTOR Faculty at the IADR 2026 General Session

The CTOR community was proud to participate in the 104th IADR/AADOCR/CADR General Session & Exhibition in San Diego, where our faculty contributed to the global exchange of research in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.

This year, three CTOR faculty members presented their research, highlighting ongoing work in biomechanics, material science, and craniofacial development.

Dr. Cristina Teixeira presented her study, “Effect of Age on the Saturation of Biological Response to Different Orthodontic Forces,” examining how biological response varies with age and its implications for treatment planning. In addition to her presentation, Dr. Teixeira also served as session chair for the oral session “Orthodontic Tooth Movement: Biological Regulation, Biomechanics, and Emerging Modulators,” contributing to the scientific leadership of the meeting alongside Dr. Xiaoyue Han.

Dr. Fanar Abdullah, Clinical Director at CTOR Academy and CTOR Ortho, presented “Extension of Nasal Septum Ossification and Incisal Forces,” offering insight into craniofacial growth patterns and their relationship to orthodontic force systems.

Dr. Marcos Giovanetti, faculty at CTOR Academy and orthodontist at CTOR Ortho and Orthodontia Studio, presented “Attachments Made With Flowable or Composite Resin and their Behavior With Polyurethane and PETG Materials,” contributing to the understanding of material performance in aligner-based treatment.

Beyond presentations, the meeting provided valuable opportunities for collaboration and exchange with colleagues from institutions around the world, reinforcing CTOR’s commitment to advancing research and clinical innovation. We congratulate all faculty members for their contributions and continued dedication to advancing the field of orthodontics.
